The relationship we maintain with ourselves profoundly influences our ability to connect with others. Embracing deep authenticity requires courage and practicing compassion enables us to take a softer approach in navigating life's uncertainties. The work of self-tending fosters personal growth and resilience and allows us to stay open and available for healthy connections.
My approach to counseling integrates elements of internal family systems, attachment theory, creative interventions and somatic practices. The imaginative aspects of IFS particularly resonate with my work, guiding clients through introspection, encouraging curiosity around challenging emotions and promoting self-compassion.
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Critical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, CA. Currently, I am a graduate student working toward my Master’s degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling.

I believe that being a person is complicated—we encounter both hurting and healing in relationship with others. While the complexities of being a human are a given, I believe in the power of authentic and trusting human connection as a catalyst for change and healing.
My framework includes acknowledging both internal and external impacts on the individual, with specific interests including trauma / PTSD, behavioral addictions, somatics, and the influence of social media/internet use on identity. My approach is collaborative, body and emotion-oriented, and experiential, aimed at helping you come back to center and move toward the life you truly want. We will embark on this journey together, ultimately in service of helping you show up as your truest self both in and out of the counseling room.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Pitzer College. Currently, I am a graduate student in the Professional Mental Health Counseling Program Specializing in Addictions at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling.

In my free time, you’ll find me exploring forests of the PNW through trail running and hiking, discovering new food carts and restaurants, and cooking overly-elaborate meals that always seem simpler in my head. I also enjoy songwriting and connecting with other creatives at open mics around the city.

My approach to counseling is based in narrative therapy, which means we will work together in exploring your story and considering the ways you think about and language your experiences. I view therapy as a collaborative process, one in which we reflect on your values and beliefs and how those shape your world view.
Finding and making meaning is, to me, a communal experience, one that deeply considers your social locations and multiple identities, especially within dominant cultural narratives. How events in your life and the environments in which you’ve existed shape the way you see things will be a big focus of our work together. I take a strengths-based approach; helping to illuminate your skills and abilities is apart of my practice, as is being with you as you explore your purpose and who you are alongside the many parts of your story.
Having spent most of my career teaching writing classes, three years ago, I went back to school to study counseling. I’m currently in the Professional Mental Health Counseling program at Lewis & Clark College. I hold a PhD in English from the University of Denver and an MFA in Poetry from Washington University in St. Louis.
