Get to know our providers

  • Our Graduate Interns join us while they complete their masters programs. They stay with us anywhere from 6 - 8 months. Some Commercial insurance plans do not recognize professional counselor associates as billable providers; therefore, they will not pay when clients receive services. Because of this policy they provide their quality services at a discounted rate.

When your intern graduates and leaves Wild Wish, we happily transfer you to an incoming counselor.

Joining this Fall…

The relationship we maintain with ourselves profoundly influences our ability to connect with others. Embracing deep authenticity requires courage and practicing compassion enables us to take a softer approach in navigating life's uncertainties. The work of self-tending fosters personal growth and resilience and allows us to stay open and available for healthy connections.

My approach to counseling integrates elements of internal family systems, attachment theory, creative interventions and somatic practices. The imaginative aspects of IFS particularly resonate with my work, guiding clients through introspection, encouraging curiosity around challenging emotions and promoting self-compassion.

I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Critical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, CA. Currently, I am a graduate student working toward my Master’s degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling.

Outside of work I enjoy a variety of activities that bring balance and joy to my life! I appreciate slow evenings at home making fresh pasta and playing acoustic guitar. I find peace in nature and regularly spend time picnicing in the park and swimming in the river. I am enlivened by the arts and I am excited by going out to see live music, DJ sets and local drag.

She / Her Registered Associate

So many forces in our lives can push us to hide pieces of ourselves from others. Shame, trauma, and unhealthy relationships can lead us to not only distance ourselves from those around us, but even to hide from ourselves. Shame causes us to question our self-worth and prevent us from giving and recieving the kind of love that makes us feel alive. I believe it is of utmost importance to create a space for all clients that is judgment free, and I prioritize building a genuine connection that can empower you to step out of your anxiety and move towards growth.

I take an eclectic approach to therapy that is attachment based, psychodynamic, and emotions-focused. I incorporate elements of Internal Family Systems and mindful self-compassion to provide tangible tools you can use to combat shame, reconnect with your body, and discover what brings you authentic, radical joy. I am a pleasure activist, sex positive, and feel strongly that every single facet of your identity (culture, gender, size, sexuality, spirituality) is not just invited, but integral to our work - no exceptions! I am particularly interested in working with individuals and couples exploring complex trauma, anxiety, life transitions, attachment wounds, intimacy, and relationships.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I moved to Portland in 2021 and completed my Master’s degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling at Lewis & Clark College. I received a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Cleveland State University and have a diverse work history including extensive time in the restaurant service industry. My life has offered her the opportunity to build relationships with individuals holding diverse identities, so no matter what your background is — you are truly encouraged to come just the way you are!

When I’m out of the office, you can expect to find me getting lost in the PNW’s old growth forests, dancing in a wig with friends, or attempting complicated cooking projects under the strict supervision of my cat, Beeps.

Emma Larson

She/ They Graduate Intern

Every person comes to therapy with their own story and needs. I believe therapy is a deeply personal and unique journey, in which we deserve to feel heard, understood, and supported. I also believe that there is power and healing in dismantling our internal systems of oppression so we can understand our values and engage more deeply with ourselves and our communities. As a counselor, my role is to empower my clients to better understand themselves, grow their self-compassion, and explore what brings them meaning.

I take an eclectic approach to therapy that pulls from Existential, Feminist, Relational-Cultural, and Internal Family Systems theories. This means I am interested in exploring how different parts of ourselves intersect and the ways the world around us shapes our reality, values, and relationships. At the core of my work, I strive to nurture a warm, safe, and open therapeutic bond between counselor and client.

I received my Bachelor degree in Human Development & Family Studies and Psychology and am currently completing my Master's degree in the Professional Mental Health Counseling Program at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling.

Personal Interests

In my free time, you can find me knitting with a cat (or two) in my lap, exploring thrift stores, or catching a local drag show. As a born and raised Oregonian, I love being outside rain or shine and often find myself on a long walk along the river or on a day trip to the coast.

She/ Her Graduate Intern

I emphasize a holistic approach and utilize a wide array of theories including Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems, structure mapping, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed therapies. I believe counseling is a collaborative process and I work to personalize each treatment plan to fit each individual’s unique needs. I also seek to provide a safe and supportive environment that empowers individuals and couples to reach their goals. I believe that you are an expert in your own life and seek to create a collaborative space.

At the heart of my practice is a love of helping people overcome challenges in their lives. My professional interests include grief and loss, relationships, identity development, trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions such as adjustment to relationship changes, family challenges, and grief. I am sex-positive and prioritize creating a safe space for all identities.

I was born in Alaska, raised by the oceans of western Washington and now call Oregon home. I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling at Lewis & Clark College. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Public Relations from the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Rosemarie Treviño

She / Her Registered Associate

Rosemarie believes that good therapy starts with the relationship between clients and counselors; creating a safe space together means clients are able to express themselves freely and authentically. She creates an environment that is built on trust, respect, compassion, and is judgement free. Rosemarie has worked with children, adolescents, and couples, adults experiencing depression, grief and loss, anxiety, and trauma. Rosemarie has completed level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

As a counselor, Rosemarie practices from person centered therapy and emotion focused therapy. She does this through empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard focusing on the client’s life story. She understands that life throws curve balls, and the healing road is not always linear. If choosing to work with Rosemarie, you will be encouraged to embark your journey towards your true, most authentic self and challenged to facilitate change around emotional awareness and attunement. By utilizing emotion focused therapy, you can collaboratively work towards recognizing and naming your emotions and the ability to process emotional struggles as they arise.

Rosemarie recently graduated with a Masters in Professional Mental Health Counseling with a Specialization in Addiction at Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cal Poly Humboldt, formerly known as Humboldt State University.

Rosemarie’s personal and professional experience comes from 5+ years in community mental health and non-profit organizations. Through her personal battle with addiction and family struggle, she found her passion in helping others, and hopes to support you wherever you are in your journey.
